Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Automation Engineer with up to 3 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java and expertise in various testing tools and methodologies. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and functionality of our software products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, Appium, and Rest Assured.
- Conduct API testing using tools like Postman and ensure seamless integration with backend services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and create comprehensive test plans.
- Execute automated test suites, analyze test results, and report defects and issues.
- Work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve software defects.
- Perform database testing using SQL to validate data integrity and consistency.
- Continuously enhance test automation frameworks and improve testing efficiency.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices in test automation.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in test automation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in software testing and test automation.
- Strong proficiency in Java programming language.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium, Appium, and Rest Assured for test automation.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
- Solid understanding of SQL and experience with database testing.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools.
- Knowledge of performance testing and tools like JMeter.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and practices.
